Making the best use of your resources
"I had to get to know my course materials; I found the glossary very helpful since there were many words I was unfamiliar with.
Visual aids were useful since I could see what was going on in other countries related to the topic area I was studying at the time. There were times I had to carry out experiments; the videos go through the procedures and techniques required.
Computer conferencing enabled me to get feedback from other students and if I didn’t understand something there would be someone with a quick response to my question."
Samina has also made full use of the library facilities at Salford University where she works.

My colleagues are very supportive. There are times when you feel 'I can't carry on, I've had enough'. And I think you need a bit of moral support which they do provide me. They sit me down and talk to me and give me reasons why I'm to carry on which I think always helps. I think you need that push.
