  • Check what skills you already have, what you may need and what you might improve upon
  • Use specific reading lists or study packs to get back into study mode

"I attended all the preparatory sessions that were offered by the OU and found them very helpful. There were all sorts of suggestions like reading quality newspapers rather than tabloids. I also sent off for a preparatory pack offered before my Level 1 course and worked through that - even having a go at a sample essay."
