Major trauma means multiple, serious injuries that could result in death or serious disability.

This free booklet describes different kinds of traumatic injuries, stroke and heart attacks and their treatment. In the centre spread you will find illustrations of some common types of conditions requiring emergency treatment.

The booklet was written in association with the BBC/OU co-production An Hour to Save Your Life.
