The digital medium is becoming increasingly popular with artists who are keen to try new ways of working. Using the Internet to display digital art is largely about exploring new spaces to work with and display within. The distinction between "digital art" and "art" is gradually becoming more and more blurred as artists continue to explore new technologies as mediums for art.

Design and art both utilize the digital realm, as designers borrow from artists and vice versaDesign and Designing is an Open University course which introduces the design process.
