An introduction to the Tate Insight project

The Tate Insight project sets out to liberate those hidden and fragile works of art that cannot be seen by visitors to the galleries on an everyday basis. It is also an extensive database, a valuable resource both for the public, art historians and researchers. Not everyone can get to the Tate galleries across the country, so it also liberates the public, not only those in the United Kingdom, but art enthusiasts from across the world.

If you can't get out and about to satiate that desire to learn more about art and its histories, one solution is to get online to study. The Open University offers a range of distance education courses for the enquiring mind.
