Scotland the grave.
I fear for the future of scotland post referendum or at least the identity of the scot. If David Cameron gets his wish and imposes the restricted earlier referendum on the Scottish people I believe a no vote is inevitable and that could mean the end of both the SNP and the idealist movement of independant nationalism and sovereignty within the four kingdoms. The debate itself may be far from over but purely economics and the threat of the sterling not being allowed over a newly defined national border would render any pro independance lobby impotent.........I mean even trhe most ardent supporter of Salmond and co would be aware that joining the Euro now could be catastrophic economicallyt and politically.
My fear that the financial situation has clouded the issue, that contemporary Britain should have had this debate when things were going ok and that Salmond and his often tactless pals maintain a clumsy stance of with us or against us rhetoric will lead us to another horrifying Tory victory and that this might even mean a second term for Herr Cameron.
