Name: Mavuto Kambochola

What first triggered your interest in environmental issues?

I am working on a project called 'MWANZA RIVER CATCHMENT NATURAL RESOURCE BASED ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT' funded by christian aid-UK.

What are you working on, concerned by, or motivated by at the moment?

I see myself working on reducing land degradation, especially conservation agriculture to ensure sustainable agricultural production

What do you anticipate working on, or thinking about, in relation to environmental issues over the next 1 year, 5 years, and 10 years?

I believe we shall have reached a deal by that time. Because we shall have witnessed a lot of climate change related disasters which will force leaders to a round table discussion

Tell your story in your own words.

Environmental issues in my country-MALAWI. These include deforestation, land degradation (soil erosion) and loss of biodiversity
