2 Investigating CHIP

In the following activity, you will have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with how to use the CHIP resource.

Activity 1

Open the CHIP resource [Tip: hold Ctrl and click a link to open it in a new tab. (Hide tip)] in a new tab in your web browser.

Click a node or, if you would rather, search for someone or something in particular using the search bar. What is the title of the node you have chosen?

In the chart below, record one person, context, perspective and method linked to the node you selected. Some nodes may not be linked to all four options, so keep clicking on links until you find one that is. If you need to, you can click ‘clear’ to return to a star field with no selections.

Hint: The more well-known the person, context, perspective or method is, the greater the likelihood that it will be linked to all of the categories.
