This week, you looked at food labels and how they should appear on packaging. Next week, you will look at energy from food and how sweeteners are used in our food.

You should now be able to understand:

  • what the regulations are for food labelling
  • how food is analysed and the food tables
  • the traffic-light system for food labelling
  • the claims made on packaging.
