An experiment in democracy for Barnet residents.

Barnet Participates is "a new democratic initiative designed to give local people an open, hands-on way to tackle the borough’s problems" [...] It is "a new way for community groups, individual citizens and elected councillors to make decisions and take action together".

It was initiated by social movement activists and encourages people to participate through public assembly. Barnet Participates is local in orientation and concerned with democracy, politics & representation

It was launched on 30th March 2014 and is ongoing.
