Biography

Antonio Carluccio was born in Vietri sul Mare on the coast of Southern Italy. After moving to London on 1975, he became a wine merchant and in 1981 was invited by Sir Terence Conran to manage his Neal Street restaurant, which Antonio now owns. Along with his wife Priscilla, he opened Italian shop Carluccio’s in 1991, which specialises in Italian food and his childhood passion – fungi.
He has also made numerous TV and radio contributions and published many books.
