Biography

Read Barbara Allen’s biography.

Barbara Allen is the director of the Centre for Mathematics Education (CME) at The Open University. She has written on a variety of courses at The Open University including Passport to Mathematics, Breakthrough to Mathematics, Science and Technology and Teaching Mathematical Thinking at Key Stage 3. Her research interests are pupils' perceptions of their lives in mathematics classrooms. She is also the co-author of a series of children's science adventure stories called The Spark Files.
