Derek Neale is a fiction writer with an interest in dramatic writing and life writing. He helped to design and write the course materials for a whole new generation of Open University writing courses – Start Writing and Creative Writing. He chairs the course Advanced Creative Writing.

Derek Neale is a fiction writer with an interest in dramatic writing and life writing. He helped to design and write the course materials for a whole new generation of Open University writing courses – Start Writing and Creative Writing. He chairs the course Advanced Creative Writing.

Amongst his published works are A Creative Writing Handbook: developing dramatic technique, individual style and voiceand Writing Fiction. His fiction includes The Book of Guardians.
