Biography

Read Dr George Revill’s biography.

George Revill is senior lecturer in cultural geography at The Open University. His work connects debates concerning landscape and national identity to the development of the British musical renaissance (1880 – 1940). He is chair of the Landscape Research Group, a registered charity dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary research into landscape. Amongst other publications he is co-author of Representing the Environment (Routledge 2004), and co-editor of Landscapes of Defence (Prentice Hall 2002) and The Place of Music (Guilford/Longman 1998).
