Biography

Read Dr Nick Jones’s biography.

Dr Nick Jones is the academic consultant for the Tchaikovsky Uncovered series on BBC FOUR. He is a member of The Open University's Start Listening to Music course team and has also contributed to the writing of the course.

He is currently deputy chair of the OU's MA in Music Programme and tutors on two of its modules, Postgraduate Foundation Module in Music and The MA Music Dissertation Module. Nick has a specialist interest in contemporary British music, particularly Peter Maxwell Davies. He is also interested in popular music, especially the 1960s and the British scene of the 1980s and 90s.
