Biography

Read Gargi Bhattacharyya’s biography.

Dr Gargi Bhattacharyya is a lecturer in cultural politics and religion at the University of Birmingham.
Her research focuses on the issues of race and identity and she is currently working on the documentation of Asian community histories in Britain.
Her publications include Tales of Dark-skinned Women (Routledge, 2001) and Race and Power with John Gabriel and Stephen Small.
