Biography

Read Jin Wang’s biography.

Wang Jin is an intern working on the Gender and Development programme within the United Nations’ Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD). She is currently assisting with the preparation of programme papers and edited volumes for the Political and Social Economy of Care project.
Prior to joining UNRISD, Jing completed a BA in economics from the University of Cambridge, and an MA in social anthropology of development at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London in 2008.
Her interest in development lies in gender with her 2008 thesis focusing on the specific gendered impacts of China's One Child Policy felt by rural male farmers one generation on.
Jing is also a volunteer school speaker for Oxfam.
