Biography

Read Jonquil Lowe’s biography.

Jonquil Lowe is a Lecturer in Personal Finance at The Open University and also a personal finance practitioner. She works with a variety of independent, consumer-facing organisations and regulatory bodies, writing financial capability materials and carrying out commissioned research. She is also author of over 20 books on personal finance. She is Director of the Open University’s Foundation Degree in Financial Services, past member of the You and Your Money: personal finance in context (DB123) course team, and module team chair of Personal Investment in an uncertain world (DB234). Jonquil’s research interests focus on financial capability, systems of pension provision and retail financial regulation in the UK, and she is jointly responsible for the Financial Institutions and Economic Security (FIES) project strand in the IKD Research Centre
