Professional biography
Klaus-Dieter Rossade is currently Director of the Language Studies Programme at the Faculty of Education and Language Studies (FELS) at The Open University in Milton Keynes, UK. For the last 15 years, he has produced distance learning teaching and learning materials, including open educational resources and designed language and culture courses in German at all levels. His research interests include the fields of intercultural communication and technology enhanced language learning. His PhD research focussed on the history of German Studies, intellectuals in totalitarian systems and questions relating to memory and 'dealing with the past'. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK.
