Biography

Read Professor Dorothy Atkinson’s biography.

Dorothy Atkinson is a senior lecturer in the Department of Health and Social Care. She has contributed to courses on learning disability and mental health for carers, practitioners and users. She has also helped produce courses for social workers and health and social care managers. She is a member of the Learning Disability Research group. Her research interests include advocacy, history of learning disability and participatory research.
