Biography

Read Professor John Monk’s biography.

John Monk is professor of electronics (digital systems) at The Open University. He is a student of Far Eastern electronics developments, contributes to the Royal Academy of Engineering working group on teaching engineering ethics and plays a number of roles in the registration of engineers through the recently formed Institution of Engineering and Technology. John co-edited Hybrid Thought and the recently-republished The Book of Models and has published papers on engineering education, digital technology and philosophy. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Warwick in Electrical Sciences.
