Biography

Read Professor Shirley Reveley’s biography.

Shirley Reveley is dean of The Faculty of Health & Social Care at The Open University. She joined the university as director of nursing in March 2005, before which she was head of School of Nursing & Midwifery at St Martin's College, (Lancaster & Cumbria).
Shirley studied for her first degree with the OU, and qualified as a nurse, midwife and health visitor. She has 20 years experience working in Higher Education in the health field. Her research interests include advanced nursing practice, roles boundaries in primary health care and the role of the community matron.
