Biography

Read Russell Ackoff’s biography.

Russell Ackoff held the Anheuser-Busch Professor Emeritus of management science at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He helped pioneer the development of study into operations research, systems thinking and management science.

He helped introduce systems thinking to the White House during the Clinton era, and remained performing a similar role for the younger President Bush.

Russell Ackoff died in 2009.
