Biography

Read The Child Of Our Time web team’s biography.

The BBC launched Child Of Our Time as a new century dawned. Following the development of children born in 2000, the project is scheduled to run for 20 years.
The Open University joined the initiative in 2004 and has been offering extra insight into the changes in the lives and make-up of the featured children, and invited visitors to the websites an opportunity to take part in research projects.
Since its inception, Child Of Our Time has been presented on BBC by Robert Winston - or Baron Winston of Hammersmith, to give him his formal title.
