Yoseph Araya

Professional biography
Dr Yoseph Araya is a plant ecologist and a senior lecturer at The Open University. He works on mechanisms of plant coexistence and conservation in species-rich ecosystems, from wet meadows in temperate climates, to Mediterranean grasslands, South African fynbos and urban green spaces. He is also keen in both formal and informal environmental education as well as the role of the public in research (citizen science).
