Day one started pretty well actually. Managed to find a bucket which might be suitable for the drum for the washing machine, and built a system where with an electric drill I could move it all, and it was good, it was an okay day. I felt I made progress on day one, but a lot of the sort of more, what I would call the more boring stuff, you know, just sawing stuff, putting things on top of each other, making things move. And so got to the end of day one and I had the basic thing moving.

Day two was really hard. My brain wasn’t working at all until about two o’clock when Ellen came along with some chocolate and transformed the whole thing. I didn’t know what was wrong, I just was looking at things and, you know, starting things and stopping things and just couldn’t get going properly. But by the end of day two I felt like I’d done half a day really, and so I got to the stage where I’d only done one valve and I was playing around with the second valve, and basically felt like I was way behind really.

I had a really good night’s sleep on day two, and day three everything came together really. Managed to get a timer to work the thing and played around with the little gizmo which would reverse the motion of the washing machine, and so it’s really good. And I’m actually really delighted with it. I may not look it because I feel absolutely exhausted but I think tomorrow when I’ve had a rest and I can look back I’ll be really happy with it. And so it worked really well, and it probably needed to go a bit faster I think to wash the clothes properly. But yeah, it was good, and it’s a good build and felt good at the end of day three.
