Text

So it was kind of like we expected at the beginning in that the wind makes a tremendous difference where a balloon goes. And we never really got to the motor stage. We actually made a motor, never really put it on the balloons because the wind, it was just whooping everywhere and just what do you do with it. So instead of getting the balloon to Kate, we got it up and up and up and then the wind, when it got - oh, I don’t know, 50 metres up it changed direction and it blew right back toward us. But the fuse worked beautifully, I mean Jonathan got hydrogen beautifully and that all worked, but we couldn’t control the wind. And we hadn’t spent enough time really looking at wind patterns in a transect, a vertical transect, so it was a boomerang. That’s not a great way to send a postcard but it’s a great way to create a memory.
