Angela lost her mother when she was just nine. Her father went into shock, and, amid accusations of him having killed his wife, he broke off all contact with the family. Angela was sent to a convent boarding school where she was brought up by nuns and cut off from the love of her many aunts and cousins. She never heard from them again.

Angela is now fifty seven. Her father is dead and she is determined to find out once and for all what really happened.

Her powerful and emotional journey will take her back to the memories she suppressed. Did her mother’s family really desert her in her time of need or was this just the perception of a hurt little girl? Empowered by her research, Angela hopes to uncover the truth about her mother’s death, find her long lost relatives, and confront the feelings of abandonment that have plagued her life.
