My gosh....what a total revolt aganst Jan for what would have been a joint decision-made after many months of talking- to put Ken into a supported living environment. I don't need to say every one is different and we have not walked in her shoes- even for a little while. The old cliche l"ife is hard springs" to mind and that statement comes at different times for people. Ken was not "dumped"- it appeared to me a well organised transition which has resulted in Ken becoming more personable , social and independant - is that not a good thing! As far as Jan making the comments regarding "finding some-one" -to me it was clear it was a conversation that had already taken place many times - possibly evoking the same response by Ken but nevertheless isn't it better that Ken has honesty in his relationship. I have no doubt Jan comforts him when his emotions are like that.Jan should not be damned for the seperation- would you rather her be run into the ground and them both ill. I believe - because of the immense emotional input Ken needed at home that Jan could not sustain it - she done absolutely the right thing for her and Ken...... for the record I don't know either of them :)
still loving it, jan come off in a slightly better light last night.
but dear old Berty looked like little sad old thing when rose said she couldn't
give him the commitment he wanted,
& i really felt for him.
but in the end his kind & sweet personalty wone him the girl..lol
& i wish them all the best!!
Was really pleasing this week to see Ken making an effort to do things for himself and that his wife was starting to feel lonely especially after last weeks episode! but a year on and he's not moved home where he wants to be, very sad. If Jan has her own health problems why does she not move in with him like others have?
You've used Ken & Janet's photos under Keith & Liz which probably doesn't help with people thinking that Ken died.
RIP Keith, you're in a better place now.
