BBC Inside Science celebrates Darwin Day this week.

In BBC Inside Science, Adam Rutherford and guests illuminate the mysteries and challenge the controversies behind the science that's changing our world.

On this week's programme:

Darwin Day: Darwin Day falls on Thursday 12 February. To celebrate, BBC Inside Science will hold an interview with Eugenie Scott, an American physical anthropologist who challenges the teaching of young earth creationism and intelligent design in schools.
 
Other topics include: a new structure in earth's core, the effects of ocean acidification on mussels and Andreas Sella on the current image of chemistry.
