I think everyone can pick up something new from this course regardless of how long you may have "done the job."
Has helped me to reflect on practise and the links to resources have been very helpful.
Great course - you can go at your own pace and stop when you need to. Good introduction to inclusive practise and the needs of dyslexic pupils - and how we can help them.
Whilst the course was informative it took me a while to get around the links as unfortunately IT is not my best skill but I am learning every day. Perhaps a little more explanation would help especially as the links to the quizzes wouldn't work (I was on line) so I had to find alternative ways, but I got there in the end.
The course dyslexia and inclusive practice is very informative and educative.
Compare to my initial knowledge of it. I now know more about the dyslexia and inclusive practice
Really useful and enlightening course - I learned lots about my hitherto assumptions about dyslexia, and feel this will really postively inform my practice going forward - thanks.
I found this course very insightful, allowing me to reflect on my previous understanding and experience of Dyslexia. I have always been a great supporter of inclusion for all, but realise that to achieve that wish there is still a very long way to go.
The course content is great, once you find your way around.
I chose to do my learning log using word. This meant I wasn't able to have my work tracked. There must be a way, other than cut and paste to upload it?
Gaining better understanding means we have tools at the ready. The classroom is always going to be a minefield, but if we have knowledge based on study and practice, I feel ready to step onward.
I've been teaching for 25 years. I chose to do my thesis (when studying for the then honours part of the B.ed (Hons) on the emotional impact of dyslexia on children. I studied and researched so much my head felt like bursting. This course has opened that door again. You never stop learning, no matter your age or circumstance. Go for it.
Now I need to find the next two modules that go with this.
Can be a bit confusing to navigate the entire section as there is so much information in each module of the course.
Quizzes were a challenge, difficult to find information on topics which were taken from the other modules when completing the quiz.
Great stage by stage modules. Plenty diagrams full of information. Not too difficult to read/understand as wasn't overloaded with Educational/Government Acts.
