Introduction
This is the first session of a two-part pre-course of the short course Introduction to Arabic Language and Culture by the Open Centre for Languages and Cultures. Completing this course will take you about four hours. This course focuses on the most basic steps in learning Arabic: you will learn the alphabet, vowels, and also learn a bit about different dialects and the history of the Arabic language. At this stage, you are encouraged to listen to the audios, and practise writing.
This week you will learn the Arabic alphabet, vowels, and also a little bit about the history of the Arabic language.
