2.1.3 Practising gratitude
Making a regular habit of noting the things you’re grateful for is another practice to help you stay grounded in the present and attend to your own wellbeing. The things you’re grateful for needn’t be large things; they might just be a smile or the scent of a flower. Listing three or four of these each day and reflecting on why they’re important to you can help you to experience positive emotions.
