1.1.3 Skills
Climate crisis-related skills are many and varied. They include research and analysis, political skills such as advocacy, organisation and campaigning, as well as skills related to environmental protection and the use of new technologies (McCowan, 2021). Relevantly, UNESCO (2006) lists several skills that are essential for addressing sustainable development, including:
creative and critical thinking, oral and written communication, collaboration and cooperation, conflict management, decision-making, problem-solving and planning, using appropriate ICTs, and practical citizenship.
