3.2 Increasing and decreasing graphs

In the Video 2, the graph of time in minutes against time in hours was described as increasing, since whenever the -variable increases, the y-variable does too.

It is also possible for graphs to be decreasing. The definition for a decreasing graph is: whenever the -variable increases, the y-variable decreases.

Most graphs are neither increasing or decreasing.
