Do your research

Sign up to the UCAS Hub where you can research a variety of courses and find out which universities offer the course you are considering

Compare facilities

Look at the facilities of different universities to narrow your search. Consider recreational facilities as well as teaching facilities, and what facilities you want at your chosen university.

Course rankings

Look at course rankings to see how the course is performing against other universities.

Find out more details about the course

What modules will you be studying? Are there any field trip or work placement opportunities? Does the course come with an accreditation? Who will be teaching you? Research the details of the course to see if it suits your needs.

Consider the location

Is it where you want to be spending time? Consider travel practicalities.

Attend open days

Open days offer a useful way to get a feel for the university campus, facilities and surrounding areas. Don’t forget to ask students and staff questions to help make your decision.
