Updated Wednesday, 10 March 2021
Dr Russ Morphew, Senior Lecturer in Aberystwyth University's Institute of Biological, Environmental & Rural Sciences, offers the opportunity for students to see how biochemistry can help us to understand and improve our control of infectious parasites of humans and animals.

The session, links well to level 3 biological molecules and genetics providing an overview of parasites and in particular parasitic worms (helminths). Russ explores how looking at proteins will help us develop new control strategies such as improved diagnostics, new drugs and novel vaccines.
