political capital
This is used in political theory to conceptualise the accumulation of resources and power built through relationships, trust, goodwill and credibility. It might be thought of as a type of credit used to achieve reform or accomplish other goals.
spirit of sport
The celebration of the human spirit, body and mind, and is reflected in ‘ethics, fairplay and honesty; health; excellence in performance; character and education; fun and joy; teamwork; dedication and commitment; respect for rules and laws; respect for self and other participants; courage; community and solidarity’ (WADA, 2017).
