Join Kathleen Christian on Friday 23 March between 3pm and 4pm for a discussion of Episode 4 (‘The Eye of Faith’) of the BBC series Civilisations with a special guest appearance from presenter Mary Beard. Watch the episode on Thursday 22 March at 9pm on BBC or anytime on BBC IPlayer, and ask your questions to Professor Beard who will be available on the FASS Facebook site on Friday afternoon. ‘The Eye of Faith’ explores the topic of religious art, with spectacular shots of temples, mosques and churches from around the globe, asking fundamental questions of how images mediate between the human and the divine.
