NARRATOR
From the very earliest forms of writing, humans have tried to get their messages across visually, more recently with printing and now with digital technology. In fact, writing is always changing. Years ago, people would have thought text messages were some sort of code. But these days, they make perfect sense even though the rules of how and what we write may not be as strict as they used to be.
Language has rules. And it is important to understand these rules so you know when you're breaking them and when it's better to follow them. It's important not only to learn how to write accurately but also appropriately for the specific situation, and how you write, including using the right tools for the right job. And you'll learn a bit about grammar, like how even a comma can make a big difference to your daily life.
