3.4 Homophones

Homophones are words that sound the same but are spelled differently and have different meanings. They are often mixed up. Below are the ten most commonly mixed-up homophones:

  • two, to, too
  • there, their, they’re
  • weather, whether
  • would, wood
  • sea, see
  • four, for, fore
  • our, are
  • hear, here
  • no, know
  • knew, new
