6.2 Dar una opinion
En esta sección vas a conocer las estructuras gramaticales más frecuentemente utilizadas en la expresión de opiniones, que incluyen el uso de verbos en indicativo y subjuntivo.
Box 8 Use of the indicative or subjunctive complementing verbs of opinion
When an opinion is expressed, the que clause that follows the verb of opinion has verbs in the indicative:
Pienso
Creo
Opino + que + ES beneficioso para Honduras
Considero
Encuentro
(I think/consider… that it is beneficial for Honduras)
But when an opinion is expressed questioning the validity of a statement (e.g. by negating the verb of opinion), the que clause that follows the verb of opinion uses the subjunctive mood:
No pienso
No creo
No considero + que + SEA beneficioso para Honduras
No encuentro
Dudo
No está claro
No es cierto
(I do not think/ consider that…; I doubt that…; It is not clear/true that… it is beneficial for Honduras)
