Introduction

Welcome to the first week of your Ukrainian course Introduction to Ukrainian language and culture. This week you’ll learn to greet people and other useful phrases for a first conversation.

By the end of this week, you should be able to:

  • Introduce yourself and ask somebody’s name in Ukrainian.
  • Greet others, say goodbye, thank you and how you are doing.
  • Say what is your profession and to ask others about theirs.
  • Start to familiarise yourself with the Ukrainian alphabet.
