Midlife’s a good time to take stock of where you’d like your working life to go and whether your job will still be the right one as you get older or whether you’d like a change of direction. So we’ve put together our work checkup. It’ll help you think through your current and future career plans. You’ll start by thinking through what you really want from work – what would make you happier? Then you’ll draw up an action plan to take more control of your working life, develop your current career path or find a different more satisfying type of role or do something completely different.
Along the way, we’ll show you how to freshen up your CV and sell yourself most effectively to a prospective employer. And if you want to work for yourself, we’re there for you too. We’ll guide you through what’s involved, helping you develop your business idea and think through the risks and opportunities it brings. That’s a lot of ground to cover, and it could lead to some big decisions. So we’ve also included a whole range of resources to help you, whatever direction you choose to take. So good luck with your work check up. It could and I hope will lead to some big and exciting changes for you.
