Eisteddfod

A cultural festival, predominantly of poetry and music in the Welsh language. Held locally and nationally, the eisteddfod has roots going back at least to the 12^th century. Eisteddfodau were originally meetings of bards. (Welsh ‘eistedd’ – ‘to sit ’).
