This diagram shows the analysis of motivators for students to participate in SoTL projects and for educators to involve students in SoTL projects. There are two overlapping circles, clockwise from the top they are labelled ‘students’ and ‘educators’. Starting from the top and moving clockwise, the first circle has the motivators for students to participate in SoTL projects: financial support; gain research skills and experience; and employability skills. The second circle has the motivators for educators to involve students in SoTL projects: students as partners in SoTL; and satisfaction of students gaining research skills and experience. There is one area where the two circles overlap and the motivator at this intersection is mentioned as publications.
