Figure 2a is a two dimensional image of Europe, colour-coded for topographic height. It is divided into 12 x 16 rectangular cells with about 7 colours used; oceans are uniform blue. The UK is about 3 cells from north to south. Figure 2b is a three dimensional image of Europe, colour-coded for topographic height; many square cells of colour are used, and appear as columns; the UK is approximately 7 cells from north to south. Ocean depth is also coded.
