Initial thoughts about RfP:
- That there wasn’t a clear pedagogy just reading time
- It was something to do as a treat
- A hobby for some
- That it was teacher-led
- That it was a silent activity
- That there wasn’t much you could do to change a reluctant reader
- The boys don’t like reading
- It was a nice extra, for some children
- It was optional, depending if the children liked reading
- That it wasn’t that important
- It was an additional extra – a nice to have
- That this was just about literature and stories
- It was a time filler
- That there wasn’t time for it.
