The figure is a line graph covering the period 1970 to 2023. Two lines are shown, one for the UK savings ratio (as a percentage of household disposable income) and one for the annual percentage rate of (average) house price inflation. The graph lines indicate a negative relationship between the two, with the savings ratio tending to fall when house price inflation increased and vice versa.
