This is a lithograph in two colours. The scene is in orange-peach against a black background. It shows a tall bearded man standing on a chariot formed of waves. It is drawn by two curly-maned horses shown either side of him. His left leg is straight and his right leg rests on the crest of a wave. A strip of folded cloth swirls from between his legs and up around his naked body in a billowing arc behind him. He holds a trident in his right hand and his gaze follows his outstretched left arm. He points his finger towards three winged figures with puffed up cheeks, riding on the clouds in the top right-hand corner. Behind him to the left are two high-prowed ships with full sails which are being blown from the right. Their crew and oars are visible.
